OSI Best Thesis Awards

The Optical Society of India will be giving 3 Best Thesis awards to deserving candidates. The award includes a certificate and a cash award of Rs. 10,000/-.

Criteria for the Best Thesis Award:

To be considered for the Best Thesis Award, the following documents must be submitted by the student to the Convenor of the OSI Annual Symposium:

  1. A two-page summary of the Ph.D. thesis work
  2. A list of publications resulting from the thesis
  3. An endorsement letter from the Ph.D. Supervisor supporting the nomination

Note: Thesis presentations in the Annual OSI symposium will be restricted to students who have currently submitted their Ph. D. thesis.

Prof M. P. Kothiyal Best Thesis Award in Optical Metrology

The Optical Society of India is instituting a Best Thesis Award in the field of Optical Metrology, dedicated to the memory of Prof. M. P. Kothiyal. The award includes a certificate and a cash award of Rs. 10,000/-.

To be considered for the Best Thesis Award, the following documents must be submitted by the student to the Convenor of the OSI Annual Symposium:

  1. A two-page summary of the Ph.D. thesis work
  2. A list of publications resulting from the thesis
